Like Mother, Like Daughter

I was scampering early in the morning for my daughter’s parent-teacher meeting and when I arrived, the teacher seemed a bit flustered, especially when she started telling me that my little girl didn’t always pay attention in class and was sometimes a little flighty. “For example, she’ll do the wrong page in the textbook,” the teacher explained, “and I’ve found her sitting at the wrong desk sometimes.”

“I don’t understand, where could she have gotten that from?” I replied defensively.

The teacher went on to reassure me that my daughter’s grades were really good. She was still doing fine in school and she was sweet and likable. Finally, after a pause, she added, “By the way, Mrs. Torres, our appointment was for tomorrow.”

Well everyone has those “Oops moments” but seriously, can anyone kindly tell me where she could she have gotten them from?

About Erin Torres

I’m Erin Torres, a dentist but occasionally volunteers as a nurse. Long story short, I’m a science person and I expect statistical proof whenever possible to convince me and most things. But as I continue to mature, I’ve become more and more impressed by the frequency of statistically highly improbable events. In their very improbability, I began to see the fingerprints of God. God bless and have a nice day everyone!
