1) “My past may be checkered, but my future is spotless.” This is not an original thought, but it sure fits me like a well tailored coat…although don’t worry, nothing too serious in the rear-view mirror. But it is an idea I suspect many can relate too. Certainly I intend to give it a try in my next job interview. By the way Diary, I know I read this idea in a book, but I haven’t been able to find the source of this phrase, so please let me know if you find out.
2) As Leo Cullum wrote in a New Yorker cartoon, “I’d rather be a huge part of the problem than a tiny part of the solution.” It’s a much easier way to live, and I commend it. (You know I’m kidding Diary… don’t you?…Diary?)
