Homework Help

homework

I was helping my eight-year-old nephew, Theo, with his homework the other day and I was trying to make it as interesting as possible for him by using actual examples.

So, eventually it came to math and things got a little more complicated.

“So Theo,” I began, “eight minus eight equals?”

“Ummm, two,” he said without thinking much about it.

“Okay,” I said, “So if we have eight cherries and we eat them all, how many do we have left?”

He looked at me with the most confident face I’ve ever seen and said, “The seeds, right?”
