“Dad, I Painted the Porch”

porsche

I woke up late on a Sunday morning. While having my breakfast, my daughter mumbled “Dad, I painted your name on the Porch” and I replied “Okay”. When I went outside to check out my porch, nothing has changed, everything’s completely normal. That Sunday went on its entire course like it usually does.

The next day, I was about to go to work when I noticed this paint on my car.

“That’s what I was telling you!” says my daughter.

I really don’t know how should I react to this but when I saw this letter “A”, I knew that she’s trying to spell out my name. So I kept my calm and I told her these two things:

“A Porch is different from a Porsche. Dad’s car is not a Porsche but a…”

When she suddenly hugged me and whispered “I’m sorry Dad, I love you”. I was deeply touched, in fact; I never got my car repainted ever since. Every time I see that paint, it always reminded me of how she loves me. She really has a cute way of expressing her feelings.

It looks good on your car. You never need to re-paint it again!
