Culture Differences

After receiving my green card to work in the United States, I landed a job in an office and was keen to see the differences in culture between the United Kingdom and the new country I now considered home. While on a lunch break outside the building, I noticed a homeless man walk up to a work colleague and ask for a cigarette. My colleague duly obliged and took out his packet. The homeless man took one look at the brand of cigarettes, shook his head and walked away. I thought to myself, “Wow! In America, beggars can be choosers.”
